June’s Mouth-Friendly Recipe 2011

Ice cream. It’s the summertime treat that makes almost everybody smile. Unfortunately, that sweet taste often packs a sugary punch right in the kisser. There’s a way to create that creamy texture you crave without all the additives, and it couldn’t be simpler. Just go bananas!

Homemade Banana Ice Cream

  • Peel as many ripened bananas as you like.
  • Slice them up, put them on a plate and freeze them for a couple hours.
  • Blend them on the puree setting until they achieve the consistency of ice cream.

Surprisingly similar to good old-fashioned ice cream, this dental health-friendly dessert will cool your kids down without encouraging cavities. Print this recipe Back to articles
