July’s Mouth-Friendly Recipe 2014

Dark Chocolate Kiwi Pops Ingredients:

  • 6 large kiwis, peeled and cut into rounds that are ? to ½ thick
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • Lollipop sticks

Directions: Insert a lollipop stick through the edge of each kiwi slice. Place them on a tray lined with wax paper or parchment paper and freeze for at least four hours. Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil using a double broiler, or use a glass bowl over a pan of simmering water. You can also melt the chocolate and oil using your microwave at 50 percent power for 15-30 seconds at a time. Dip each frozen kiwi slice into the melted chocolate, covering evenly. The chocolate will set quickly, so you can snack on these refreshing treats immediately, or refreeze to enjoy later. Print this recipe Back to articles
